These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") apply to all services provided by Silent Lights, including temporary holiday light installation, permanent lighting systems, and any associated maintenance or removal services.
1. Scope of Services
Silent Lights provides design, installation, and optional removal or maintenance of temporary and permanent lighting systems for residential, commercial, and religious properties. Specific scope will be outlined in the customer’s quote or service agreement.
2. Booking & Scheduling
- Services are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.
- A deposit of 50% is required to secure installation dates.
- Priority scheduling is available during promotional periods (e.g. Christmas in July).
- Installation dates are subject to weather and site accessibility.
3. Payment Terms
- All invoices are due upon receipt unless otherwise specified.
- Final payment is due within 5 business days of service completion.
- Late payments may incur a 5% monthly fee.
- Accepted payment methods: Cash App, Venmo, Cash, Check, Apple Pay
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made within 14 days may result in a partial refund (based on materials ordered or labor scheduled).
- Rescheduling requests must be made in writing and are subject to availability.
5. Warranty & Maintenance
- Temporary Installations: Covered under a limited 30-day warranty from the date of installation. This includes repair or replacement of failed components due to workmanship or product defect.
- Permanent Installations: Include a 1-year workmanship warranty and product warranties as provided by manufacturers (typically 1–5 years).
- Maintenance outside the warranty period is available at an hourly service rate.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide clear access to installation areas and any required power sources.
- Ensure trees, gutters, or surfaces are safe and in good condition for mounting lights.
- Report any service issues within 48 hours of discovery to be eligible for warranty service.
7. Liability
- Silent Lights is insured and takes every precaution to protect your property.
- We are not liable for damage resulting from pre-existing structural issues or customer-modified installations.
- We are not liable for outages caused by power surges, electrical issues, or extreme weather conditions.
8. Ownership of Materials
- For temporary displays, lighting and décor remain the property of Silent Lights unless otherwise stated in writing.
- For permanent systems, materials become the customer’s property upon full payment.
9. Photos & Promotion
Silent Lights may take photos or videos of completed work for marketing purposes. If you prefer not to have your property featured, please notify us in writing prior to installation.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state/province in which the services are rendered. Disputes will be resolved in accordance with local business regulations and statutes.
